Here is a very broad, comprehensive & fascinating look at synths spanning from the advent of synthesis to modern day technologies.

Kara; your Nord Lead is in the countdown. Grin

The countdown is segmented into several various videos strung together,so bust out the popcorn & soda & be prepared to sit through a good hour of this stuff.

Enjoy.

Interesting, I'll watch the videos when I have some time....
I saw that the Roland SH101 is in the running. This was a great bass synth from Roland, I still regret that I've sold mine.

And, I don't own the  Nord Lead, I have the Nord modular G2X, completly different beast but allso from Clavia

Thanks for the link Elwood

Yeah,I'm really not familiar with Clavia, but the overview of the Nord is really eye-opening. Shocked
They reviewed the Korg M1 that I used to have, but I don't really regret selling it,as even though it was a good workstation, half the sounds on it were thin, tinny & lacked warmth.
Every time a saw a commercial that had an M1 in the jingle,I could always identify the M1's sounds right away, because they had a very distinct shallow sound.

The Sonicstate stuff is really great. They also have great videos whenever there's a music fair such as the music messe or the big shows in the us. I also recommend their podcasts very much!
