I have visitors today !!! Kara and Azell decided to drop by. Although the sun is shining outside, we decided to stay inside.... in the studio.

Our challenge: complete a whole song in 1 day time. We started about 10 am local time and are now recording some samples.

To make the challenge even more interested, we decided to only use 1 sound source... being the mini-ARKAS, a small live PC...

Music and pictures will follow later....

Work in progress... we're getting there. The basic layout of the song is finished. Time to get Azell involved who can write the lyrics....

This has a great atmospheric build up. It sounds really good (even better on phones).

All the backing is somehow understated, but at the same time quite clear, and Azells vocal sits in the music.

Nice effects, synth sounds are superb & as Will pointed out,the drums are soft, but articulated very well. It's a bit redundant, but still an enjoyable piece with great sound quality. Cool

The "picture" of the band that comes to mind involves a lot of long hair, silver jewelery, tattoos, and strange clothes.
Too cool... Cool... I like it wOO

This is tantalizing right from the start.

I like the way you have Azells voice singing out of the ethers..

..hauntingly beautiful.   Afro

Good job y'all. Glad you had a nice day together.

Cool

Actually, we had a short discussing after the mix wether the treatment on the vocal track was OK because we mixed it as an instrument rather than a voice. The words get less clear, the effect stronger...

I can also see this picture ..... which leads me to feel the influence of certain 60's songs like 'This wheel's on Fire'.

To my old ears this is exactly the right feel for it.
