Hi all and thanks for your replies!
I don't think anybody here hate OGG format, most of us can handle all audio formats Grin
But that's a very slow server, 16kb/sec download speed.
indeed that's why I'm explicitly offering last.fm as an alternative: I am currently experiencing issues with my server, which on normal conditions can easily serve files at 100+kb/s. the import of Last.fm is taking more than I expected: the system told me it needed "120:45" to parse the uploaded file, but I though it meant 120 minutes, but it seems to mean 120 hours
Do you use vsti's or samples, just curious
the song has been made using:
- EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold XP for ensemble sounds
- Garritan Stradivari Violin and Gofriller Cello solo
- Pianoteq 2.2 for piano
actually, I tried to swap all the ensemble sounds with WAV samples sampled via Renoise, but the result was not good because at the moment there are some features lacking in Renoise samplers, such as multilayering, then I decided to come back to Kontakt usage for everything.
anyway, being part of the developing team of Renoise, I have tried to push the developer for implementation of such features, and we are finally going to start with a complete sampler redesign starting from next version.
