Title: KVR June 11
Post by: shrikant on June 23, 2011, 05:26:00 PM

Supposed to use Glissando in the track as per the contest rules.

I call this "Tadpole Moonlight." Odd title for an even more odd track.
Please do let me know if you don't like it  >:D

Thanks to all the friends here. One is missing.

Outstanding title! O0
...and a very interesting composition. At first, a bit strange, but developing nicely - it grows on the listener.

This type of “experimental” music I place into one of two categories, winners or crap.

This was Captain Beefheart jams with Frank Zappa over a Rhythm King :-

OUTSTANDING - - - TWO THUMBS UP    :;

Wow !! ;D

Thanks a lot Oren and Mario D. Both of you made my day.

The track was inspired by one of the segments in that fabulous film (for me) titled "Five" by Abbas Kiarostami.
He has dedicated this to the Japanese film maker Ozu. If you are interested you may listen to his
interview here.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsXE5FBnHLI&feature=related

unfortunately the piece I am referring to is not on you tube. During the above interview this paticlular scene I refer to is running in the background with the directors comments super imposed. In the original soundtrack, frogs, tadpoles, crickets etc are, as if, singing an ode to the moon shining on them. Watch the film if you are inclined to watch such "boring" experimental films.Listen to Kiarostami explain how complicated it was to shoot this segment.

Thanks once again

Shrikant

Another one of your tracks with a 'subversive' half-hidden Indian influence  ;D
