Hi again,

the concept album "Il Dolore delle Rondini" grows up and finds its title track:
"Il Dolore delle Rondini (Swallows' Pain)"

The general concept of the album is to illustrate the instability of our everchanging times, and with this song I represented it from the side of swallows coming back to the same place when Spring comes, finding it very different from how they left it back in Autumn.

The arrangement is again completely sparse and not canonical, so please forget canons if you really want to enjoy it.

For those who hate OGG format or simply cannot manage to download the OGG file from my site, Last.fm should add  this new song to the album page in a couple of hour starting from now.

I don't think anybody here hate OGG format, most of us can handle all audio formats  Grin
But that's a very slow server, 16kb/sec download speed.

I'm allways surprised to hear this style of music from a renoiser, changes a bit of breakbeats, hardcore & other stuff Grin

Again a great composition.
Do you use vsti's or samples, just curious

Thanks for sharing this great piece here

Hi It-Alien
this is no less interesting than the others compositions I heard from you.
It is really well refined and you put great care into arrangements.
Excellent sound quality and fine mix.
It's really interesting to hear so many changes of mood and the music is always clean and never muddy.
Very progressive attitude, with very nice melodies and no need for technicalities.
Well done

Cheers

Impeccable. The quality of sound, spacious arrangement, and acoustic ambience are as good as anything I've ever heard.

indeed that's why I'm explicitly offering last.fm as an alternative: I am currently experiencing issues with my server, which on normal conditions can easily serve files at 100+kb/s. the import of Last.fm is taking more than I expected: the system told me it needed "120:45" to parse the uploaded file, but I though it meant 120 minutes, but it seems to mean 120 hours Smiley

the song has been made using:
- EWQL Symphonic Orchestra Gold XP for ensemble sounds
- Garritan Stradivari Violin and Gofriller Cello solo
- Pianoteq 2.2 for piano

actually, I tried to swap all the ensemble sounds with WAV samples sampled via Renoise, but the result was not good because at the moment there are some features lacking in Renoise samplers, such as multilayering, then I decided to come back to Kontakt usage for everything.

anyway, being part of the developing team of Renoise, I have tried to push the developer for implementation of such features, and we are finally going to start with a complete sampler redesign starting from next version.
