Title: Let's try one
Post by: rharv on December 23, 2006, 08:37:03 PM
I took a song I had posted at PGMusic before, and used in their Harmonizer contest. Added drums by a real drummer and ended up with this. I wish I knew who donated the guitar solo on the right channel (the rest of the parts were done by me except that guitar and Tim Dubay on drums). If anyone recognizes the guitar solo please speak up. I lost the notes on who sent me that.  :-[  They did it voluntarily and said I could use it, but I lost track of who it was.. I would like to give credit wherecredit is due...

A nice one, a bit to nice to my taste
To be honnest during the intro i was expecting something in the style of 'Meatloaf' if you see what I mean.
So I was a litle bit disappointed that it staid in the 'soft domain'
Still it's a very good soft rock song song with very solid bases, you just reconize the artists behind it, the rest is just personnal taste

Thanks for sharing this song

just the piano intro caught my ear right away.  Ah now i remember hearing this befor.  great tune still.
Nice drums too.
I love the serious lyrics.  Sounds almost in the style of a praise tune.  I am still listening.  Thank you for sharing.
Cant say enough about you musicianship rharv.

Bob,

I love this song..it has a haunting quality..to me it reminds me of something written after the end of the world, not just after a hurricane or whatever.

..I spent too much time on the boat, man--didn't listen to music--just news on the short wave once a week..sooo..I don't have much of a clue about what's been done in popular music since you wouldn't believe when..

..anyway..the reason I went off on that is to say that I hear this in it's own right..on it's own two feet..I couldn't compare it to something else if I wanted to ;D..and it's a song I have listened to just for the pleasure of it. That's about as good a compliment that there is.

Wyatt

Thanks, guys!
I've been very busy lately and haven't checked in for a while.
I like this song still too, it haunts me.

I've been remixxing the simpletonguru CD and beta testing over at Powertracks. Will be around more often very soon.
Thanks again for listening and commenting.  I'll share more soon.
