Hello again.

Must...resist...the urge...to post two songs in a row. Damn...I failed. I am weak...sorry. Sad
But thatīs the last song for quite a while. I promise. Feedback and good advice would be appreciated. And before you start complaining about the drums. They sound exactly the way I wanted them to. Thatīs the only aspect of the song I am not willing to change. Cheesy

This track is called "Constant Rain" and is a song about loss and how some people can manage to deal with it. Itīs not an uber-party song but this is as close to indie-pop as I can get.

~~~ Zille - Constant Rain ~~~
I put my knowledge-trash inside
My garbage-can-like brain
And burn it down
Sparks
Flicker in the dark
Nothing can fill my heart
Back up again
And Iīm in
For some constant rain
Iīm prepared, Iīve got my yellow coat at hand
I can stand all this constant rain
And if
Some day all of this is going to stop
And my clothes are freed from all the mud
And everything dried up
I already forgot
About this constant rain
I browse through all of the remains
Put myself in your place
With no result
Lies
Keep circling in my mind
As I try to find
The “happy” end
Sparks
Flicker in the dark
Nothing can fill my heart
Back up again
And Iīm in
For some constant rain
Iīm prepared, Iīve got my yellow coat at hand
I can stand all this constant rain
And if
Some day all of this is going to stop
And my clothes are freed from all the mud
And everything dried up
I already forgot
About this constant rain
Thanks for listening (once again)
See ya!
Daniel
Daniel,
Other than the drums, this is a cool tune.... Cheesy
Actually, I like the percussion, and the imaginative use of the other instruments.
 A trippy little song, nicely composed, produced, and performed
I don't have anything against the drums, it fits the song  Cool
Perhaps a good bass track that goes with it would give it a bit more body ?
I enjoyed the song, good lyrics, and I'm happy to see that we have a member more that sings, and sings good  Cool
You better prepare yourself for some collab requests  Grin
Very enjoyable song. The percussion is a bit strange but it perfectly fits. I agree with Rony, that this would benefit from a bass line.
Hi.
Yes, I admit. I have major bass-problems caused by the fact that I do not own a bass. That makes me use sythetic basses and I really do not like the sound of them too much. When the time comes and I finally earn some money I will buy myself propper recording-equipment and a bass-guitar. I promise. Until then my songs will be pretty much bass-less.
@ Kara
Thank you for the compliment...but I do NOT have a good voice by any stretch of imagination. I wouldnīt want to ruin other peoples songs with my shaky performance. I would be honored if somebody really wants me to...but I donīt think this will happen anytime soon. Smiley
As I remember there was always something unusual in your songs and this time the drums take the biscuit. Honestly it doesn't work for me the whole song through.
I like the song and the lyrics though.
I like this.  Very good percussion, vox and mix. However I did not like the abrupt ending.  The song just stopped!
You could always ask forums members to add bass lines.  Collaborations happen a lot around here.
You DO have a good voice and I’m sure you will be asked soon.
