I really don't see the use of transforming a song in a picture
Having said that the picture you made could be a nice CD cover
I don't see a use for it either. I just happen to notice it again. I guess Adobe incorporated PhotoShop because they wrote into the program a lot of visual representations, such as Spectral Frequency Display, Spectral Pan display, and Spectral Phase display. So then if you can actually see an artifact, for example, you can edit it out in PhotoShop. Considering the power of the editing tools that are in Audition, this seems like a dumbed-down way to work, and very impractical for its inconvenience. Kind of like towing a scooter behind your Mercedes.
Interesting song tough, sounds good
I know you have been busy, so I appreciate very much that you took the time to listen and comment, thank you.
Seems like the duo reason & record is, as usual, perceived as highly controversial , some love it... some hate it....
k
I hear you on that. Let's see, how can I explain this?
For an example, I have not been a fan of Adobe Audition, (AA3), in some respects, but for other things it is great, so I use the great part.
With Reason and Record, I have evaluated them in terms of my own work flow, which is fairly unique, so I have already been sorting out the benefits and the limitations in those terms. Because of that, I know exactly what I can expect from each program based on the strengths..I am not expecting Record to replace Audition, so I am looking at what benefits Record brings to my work.
Audition in v3 implemented midi, but as I read, so poorly as to be a waste of time, so I didn't waste any.
I used Reason as my midi utility of many flavors and was only unhappy that ReWire was so sucky in AA3. So I exported midi tracks as audio and mixed in Audition. That was OK, but once I recorded actual audio tracks, it wasn't too practical to go back and add midi later in the process.
Record affords me many times the flexibility in that regard, as well as a better mixer setup in the first place, so it has added a lot of capability for me. Very easy to add midi at any point in the process.
I am now working on how much time do I want to devote to learning everything about it when I am very comfortable mixing in AA3, which is a much more powerful editing software as well.
In sum, I am very happy with the benefits as I perceive them, and I am not planning to replace AA3 with Record. They each have their place. Record is in it's infancy, so obviously it can't replace other mature DAWs, but then I don't think it was supposed to.
It does make a dandy utility for this Reason lover, though.
