Then it just all came together while browsing though some bits of poetry and prose I like to keep around.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Wonderful choices in your collection of poems...makes me think of the TV show "MacGyver",as this show advocates such concepts,as outlined in these literary passages.
Lovely words & lovely music to round things up very nicely....bloody well done Sir Godfrey! Cheesy

An original approach to the theme of this month  wOO

You know, listening to the poem, I realized that you have a real 'English lord' voice. I had an image in my mind of that classy English lord sitting in his big castle at the fire place and reading this poem to his grand child  Cool

Thanks a lot for your comments guys. I've never tried anything like this before so I wasn't at all sure how it would be received Roll Eyes

When I was very small at school I was accused of being 'Posh'. Now to someone in the Brixton area of London that was a mortal insult. Under the circumstances it's amazing that my speech has developed the way it has.

Hmmm. Lord Godfrey has a nice ring to it  Tongue

Unfortunately I have neither the title nor the property to go with it Grin

...Lord Godfrey has a nice ring to it  ...I have neither the title nor the property to go with it ...

Title and property are simply the legal or political trappings of a gentleperson. Often, the trappings exist without gentility. Frequently, as in the case of young Folderol, gentility exists without the trappings.
