Hi all,
Here is my latest. I wrote this one a couple days ago, called All Alone. The pianos and guitar are Band in a Box RealTracks. All the strings, brass, woodwinds, upright bass, and percussion are Miroslav Philharmonik CE, which I got on the AudioMidi.com No Brainer deal a few weeks back for $15. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

Stephen, this is top shelf all the way Great composition, excellent lyrics and backing tracks with an outstanding vocal. Two thumbs up PS – wasn’t the CE no brainer a great buy!

Mario, Thanks! This song just really came together. I was at home Thursday night, watching a TV movie (which really just means that the tv was on, and my wife was talking), and those words just started popping in my head. I grabbed my phone, and typed them into the notepad, along with a musical "shorthand" I use, so I would remember the haunting melody I was hearing. Then Friday, during lunch, I hopped onto Band in a Box, and did the arrangement, and it all just gelled. The Miroslav Philharmonik CE for $15 was DEFINITELY a no-brainer. Probably the best deal I have seen in a while. I started out (many many years ago) as a violinist, so I am fairly familiar with orchestration. For the money, this is a very good tool, if you treat it right. Thanks again for taking the time to listen! Steve

Once again, proof that it's not about pricey software, it's about the artist. As fine a production as I've heard anywhere - and a good song.

Agree with Thom. Immediately reminded me of Elenor Rigby. Only yours has a happy conclusion!
This is a beautiful song in every respect.

Folderol,
Thanks so much. I personally think both Lennon & McCartney were/are geniuses, and as a team were unstoppable. The depth, and variety (and sometimes silliness) of their work is amazing. While I try to never write a song mimicking another artist, If I can occasionally write something that someone thinks even remotely reminds them of something the Beatles did, I am a happy man!
Have a blessed day!

très joli, très doux, jolie voix masculine et tendre, j'aime beaucoup ainsi que l'orchestration. Serait-il possible de noter les paroles? Azell very nice, very sweet, nice and tender male voice, and I love the orchestration. Would it be possible to write the lyrics? Azell

Hi Azell,
Here are the lyrics to the song...
Verse 1: She is sitting in a dark room She is hoping he will call her back And she smiles as she remembers All the things he said to make her laugh All alone again Waiting for a friend
Verse 2: He is sitting in a small room And with a grin he softly speaks her name And he's staring at her number And he wonders if she feels the same All alone again Hoping for a friend
Bridge: The paradox of young love So insecure Yet full of hope And feeling sure
Verse 3: He is standing in a big room He is thinking back to long ago And he smiles as he considers Everything she does, her love to show All alone again Together, more than friends
--
Thanks so much for your sweet post. I am praying for you and your family.
