Hello to all. This is a wonderful site you have here. Hosting useful music resources and allowing people a place to share and discuss their music is a great thing.
I have played keyboard/piano as a hobby off and on throughout my entire life, after about 5 years of private lessons as a child. I am also a percussionist in the more general sense, and played bass drum in my university marching band.
That was great fun, combining two of my greatest loves: music and American football. And also crowds of 100,000+ clapping fans live, and a national television audience! But that was several years ago. Now I live in a small apartment with no drums, and my "performances" are through headphones for my own amusement. Still, there is sometimes that urge to put together something worthwhile and share it with others.
About a year ago, I got cheap digital piano (Casio Privia PX-310) and started playing a bit more again. Then in the past few months I have gotten into the very freebie samples and soft synths available on the web, and started to realize just how much can be done even in a small apartment on a small budget. That led me eventually to KVR, and from there my hunt for drum samples led me here.
So anyways, greetings to all. I look forward to hearing some of your music and maybe sharing a bit of my own.
