rharv performs on trumpet - real live trumpet! Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: kara on January 06, 2007, 11:43:06 PM This was supposed to be funny , no ?
Well I found it funny, but not everybody has the same feel of humour that I have Still, you know more about trumpets that I know :) Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: Oren on January 07, 2007, 03:47:51 AM rharv (or Bob Harvey) is an accomplished trumpet player, and I just wanted to be sure everyone knew they were listening to an original audio recording and not looped samples or a MIDI instrument on the trumpet track. The guitars were also original audio performances. Synthetic music is so advanced now, that it's sometimes hard to tell.
Almost everything I say is meant to be funny, but accurate and not sarcastic. A la prochaine, Oren Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: kara on January 07, 2007, 12:22:49 PM Perhaps i wasn't clear enough in my comment...
When I say that it was funny, i mean that the song put a smile on my face and that is, in my book, a criteria of quality. It is good to hear some musicians from time to time that don't take 'everything' serious from time to time. Kara Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: Oren on January 08, 2007, 05:11:49 AM Oh yeah!
Well, stick with Bob and I, and we'll do our best to surprise and entertain you. And make you laugh... ;) Au revoir, Oren. Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: birdbrain on March 23, 2007, 08:32:28 PM love how the trumpet sound like its down the street around a corner ally. If i heard that around town I would seek out the miestros.
Keep up the good mojo music. Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: Oren on March 25, 2007, 05:21:56 AM Hey, thanks!
Bob Harvey (rharv) performed, recorded, and reverberated the trumpet in Detroit, then sent it as an MP3 to me in Victoria BC. I justed plugged his track into my PowerTracks Pro multitrack composition, and adjusted the over-all track level to suit the rest of the instruments. Thanks for listening. Where can I hear your music? Oren. Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: rharv on April 01, 2007, 11:07:54 AM Hey- Birdbrain!
Great to hear from you again. Miss ya over at PGForums. Don't see ya as much as I used to there. Checked your site (myspace link); very cool stuff. Glad to see you're still at it heavy. Stop by more often, yer missed. Very nice tunage at the site. Impressive. Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: Wyatt on April 25, 2007, 01:23:06 AM Oren and rharve,
You guys did a fine job on this..its trippy and draws you along..I like the trumpet, drums and that glint of Strat shining through the spaces..this makes a mark on you..thanks. Wyatt Title: Re: Something different from rharv and Oren. Post by: Oren on May 04, 2007, 03:49:39 AM Hey, Strat Cat,
The version you just heard is the most recent mix - trying for a little more presence and sparkle. The concept being that all the tunes on the motagator.net/Diatribe site are periodicaly re-mixed to reflect our reflections, as it were. We got the idea from this Wyatt guy who is constantly upgrading his productions... Thanks for commenting, Oren. |
