Thanks to the assitance from Kara & Oren,I finally found a solution for converting my WAV files to MP3 directly from my Zoom recorder and I am an extremely happy man!
@Kara...I had trouble transferring the LAME code into Audacity, because the file was coming up empty, however though,I discovered the Switch Sound file converter via Oren's link and this converter is wonderfully simple & the conversion quality is amazing!! Cheesy
From what I've read from the SoundForge site, some of the newer releases of the LAME code were very unstable,so maybe that is why I had problems with it?

Anyhow, the Switch converter does the job quite well & I am much happier with this than the FreeRip software. Smiley

About my song;

I had started with one idea(intro) & then the "radio" channel in my head changed the station & I randomly went in another direction & this is the result.

Did not know what else to do with this piece,so I just left it in the experiMENTAL Tongue
stage.

Thom

This is full of good ideas, innovatively developed.

The intro section has its own charm... Wink

Like Oren said, plenty of good ideas in this song, some of them could even be developed in a song of there own  Wink

I noticed that the volume level of the song is a lot lower then what we are used to from you Thom ?

Oren,

Glad you like the ideas-thanks. Cool

Kara,

The volume is lower, because the song was directly imported from my Zoom 8HD and the volume is automatically set....perhaps I could tinker with Switch and/or Audacity,to bring the volume up more..

Thanks for the comments. Smiley

Well, at the start my instant reaction was 'Pink Panther', but then it changes to something quite different Shocked and the third section goes quite mystical. Nice one Cool

WOW, this was outstanding

Great transitions, bass lines and soundscapes.

This song would be a great movie-backing theme.

Excellent work Thom  wOO
