This was directly inspired by our own October contest. While I was working on that piece I had many other ideas on the same theme that just couldn't fit into the 30 seconds.
Here are the lyrics.
OCTOBER SONG

Leaves do fall and turn to gold
Treetops getting thin
Evening skies are glowing red
October’s coming in.
   Days get short
   Nights are long
   And so we sing
   Octobersong.

The harvest time has given yield
To stock the winter store
The time is nigh to gather fuel
And rushes for the floor.
   Days get short
   Nights are long
   And so we sing
   Octobersong.

 Wink
James

Hi James
another interesting track from you.
This is really evocative, right for the autumn mood, I like it.

I hope to come out with something good, too.

Cheers

Just listened to this 'over there'. Nice October feel to it. I do agree with the comment someone made that the vocals get a bit indistinct in a couple of places.

P.S.

I get a bit confused by all this to'ing and fro'ing across different sites, and end up not knowing what I've said where Undecided

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Thanks for the comments.
And you're right about the vocals.....a singer I am definitely not! ....but I get a bit fed up just writing tunes when I have no-one to sing them....so am just 'diving in head first' these days to see what come out!

Definitively a good Autumn feeling in the song, James.

Don't worry about the singing, it's all part of the fun  Grin
We could allways do a french song one of these days  Grin
