Cool Mario  Cool
Good practising, at some spots I feel you're not realy in the song yet. I'm sure as a musician, you know what I mean.
But isn't practising fun  Grin

I thought that's why they made octave boxes  Tongue

Sounds good to me MarioD.  Hey I made a rhyme! I'm a poet and I didn't even know it...oops, did it again.

Nice relaxing piece, I enjoyed it. Thanks.

Yea, you’re right.

I’m still not happy with the octave jam lead but I had to move on!

Yep, practicing is a lot of fun with BiaB - MarioD

Thanx Bob!

I haven’t used an octave box in years.

But I do play an unorthodox octave style.  I use the 1st and 4th, 2nd and 5th and/or 3rd and 6th strings with a pick and a finger pick on my middle finger.   They didn’t have videos of players way back then so I learned the wrong way!

Well if this is just a 'practice', I can't wait to hear a 'performance'!

Nice one.

Thanx folderol!

This was just a practice, but it came out better than I expected so I polished it up a little and uploaded it.  I’m still not totally happy with it but as I said it was time to move on.

Thanx again - MarioD

I would have to agree with Folderol-pretty impressive for a practice piece. Cool
By the way,-don't forget about the bossanova lounge music we talked about. Grin

Always a pleasure,

Thanx Thom,

Also, thanx for reminding me about the bossanova lounge music.  I did forget, i.e. I have a severe case of CRS  Grin

I did write it down this time.

Mario,

Was a time when only a rich guy could afford a back-up band like you have here.

Seems there's fewer and fewer excuses for being a crappy player  Cheesy.

Sounds good, longhair!

I'm guilty of that too. Tried to play something the other day and my fingers simply refused to stretch to where the keys were Sad

@ folderol
Buy yourself a bass guitar and you'll learn how to stretch your fingers  Grin

Just joking, but honnestly, I think bass players can stretch there fingers the most and keeping the force in it.
4 frets is a long way in the upper part of the neck and that litle pinky needs the force of putting that string down  Grin
Bass players will know what I talk about

Another oldie as I try to get my chops back.

This time I practiced octaves.

Sounds great to me! Above all it sounds like you are having a lot of  fun.

I'm very fond of the idea of "playing" music.  As opposed to "work".  Play should always be fun, whereas only some very, very lucky people have "work" that's truly enjoyable.

Thanx 2010jazz!

I do have a lot of fun with music these days.  I had a full time job and played in wedding/party bands for years.  Toward the end even that became a job as music trends were changing (hip-hop and dj's) and it was getting hard for an old timer to get fellow musicians on the same wave length. So now it's a computer, Sonar and BiaB.  That's a lot more fun!

The only trouble now is when the drummer gets drunk we're all drunk  Grin
