Title: A Song I've Known Forever
Post by: offthewall on March 14, 2024, 02:37:04 PM
This is the next one from my latest set.
A completely different style altogether being all acoustic.
This has words from Alex but the rest is all me 'in my element'.
Banjo, acoustic bass, baritone ukulele, weissenborn slide guitar, harmonica, vocal.

This is a good song, well up to your usual standards, but there seems to be a mid-range resonance on the vocal that makes it harder to pick out the words. I don't know if this is the room, or a proximity effect of the mic, but can you try to find it?

Probably just my rotten old voice. :P
Will take a listen later.

Nope.
Just had a good ole listen, very closely, and find no issues.
On my 'phones (as I still don't use speakers) vocal is relatively crisp, taking into account my natural timbre, with all words legible.

Another great performance James.
I found it hard to understand your vocal in parts.  Maybe a tad more volume would help.

Hmmm ...
curious!
Shall have to make further investigations as I can't seem to replicate that problem.
