I enjoyed this a lot - nice tune and the guitar playing is excellent. Everything fits together well, although I felt that the rhythm guitar sounded a little harsh - but that's a minor quibble and not enough to spoil my enjoyment of a very good piece of music.

It's that trademark sound again. Lovely layered production here. Full and rich. IMO the only thing missing is a strong bass line, otherwise....a beautiful piece. James

I very much agree with James here. This is good but cries out for a solid bass.

Thank you gentlemen, for your kind words, and insightful comments. I appreciate you. FM: The ironic thing is that I worked hard on getting the "razor blades" into the rhythm guitar. The song is about a fellow I know who found himself at odd ends in his life, and then in a flash of insight, discovered a new sense of purpose. The rhythm guitar is the underlying edge in life, that we try to insulate ourselves from. I do see your point, however, and it wouldn't be the first time I went a bit overboard..moderation isn't one of my specialties. James and Will: I did four bass tracks for this song, and while they did do a nice job of driving things, they totally took over melodically..here is a sample. Maybe someone could come up with one for me?? It would be nice to have a bottom on this..just not too much of a melody, if that makes sense. That would be v. cool. Wyatt

... and nine Stratocaster Tracks....
Nine Some new guitar sounds here, and a definite inclination toward a trademark style. Style is good...

@Kara : Nice to hear from you..thanks buddy. @Oren: Yep, nine..I mentioned that to distinguish that there are no synth tracks in this..just sound-shaping the Strat. Wyatt

The 'elderly' bass is also a distinct improvement

Mmmm. I listened to both versions.. and it is very difficult to favor one or the other- the original is very crisp, showcasing your unique use of the guitar. Very impressive, but the second version is more balanced, softer- dunno. Maybe if the bass were just a wee bit lower? Top notch stuff regardless.

I really appreciate everyone taking the time to listen and comment. My lady made a picture for this song today, so I thought I would like to share it with you. Wyatt
