This was a request from a very good friend.  I hope he likes it.

Very nicely done. I remember this one so well. It took me simply ages to work out how that really 'wet' thwack was originally produced (overdriven spring line).

Your arrangement is very good. I think I'll keep it Smiley

P.S.

No mp3 tags - makes it hard to remember when I got it from  Cry

Pretty faithful guitar sounds (at least as far as how I recall it)
Been a while since I heard that one.
Pretty cool..and clean. Nice job Mario, where do you find the time?!

Thanx Bob.

“where do I find the time”?  Being retired really helps.  But this has been a very busy month for me.

Thanx for the kind words.

Kara, thanx for the kind words.

The Chantays did the original Pipeline.  The Ventures did a version also.

With a song title as 'pipeline' I immediately thought of surf music, ...and yes, it is !
Very good guitar sound, nice drums, the bass-guitar is a bit too low in volume (for my taste) but the result is a very very good track indeed. well, I don't know the original anyway...  Embarrassed

Cheers

Nice one.
I, too, remember the original. Man, we are all ancient on here!  Shocked

I'm sure it was used as the theme tune for a TV programme here in the UK, but I can't remember what it was!

Laguana Rising and offthewall, thanx for listening and the comments.

I thought I was the only old guy here that would remember the original one.  I guess I have company!

Mario,

The guitar tone and playing is spot on.  Brought a smile to my face.  The ONLY thing I would change with the track would be to find a more appropriate keyboard/EP sound for the solo.  Right now it has a DX7-ish sound and it needs to be something that sounds 60's instead of 80's.

I'm pretty sure you have Mr. Ray's EP.  Pick one of the rhodes or wurlitzer presets and use that instead.

Thanks for sharing.

Scott, thanx for the kind words.

You’re right.  I didn’t think about it until you brought it to my attention but the EP is more DX7-ish 80’s sounding than the original EP sounds from the 60’s.  I have to pay more attention!

Thanx for the suggestions - MarioD
