It's a nice arrangement, and some awesome lead/chording in that Mario style.
On this one I feel it's a little stiff yet, almost like you weren't real comfortable with it.
Classic Mario guitar sound.  I think the background could come up a hair.
Nice licks around 2:40

That explains why it sounded a little stiff.  I'm getting to know how you sound and play- well enough to know when you're settled in to a song...or not!
It's well done, just missing the feel that comes with being comfortable playing something.

Bob, thanx for these comments.  That tells me someone is really listening to what I’m doing music wise and that I will have to be more careful on what I upload here!  And I don’t mean that in a detrimental way.  It means I have to improve, and that’s exactly what I’m trying to do!

Based on what I know so far is that this is a web site of very professional musicians with fantastic ears who are willing to help out anyway they can.  Being a hobbyist with limited income I feel somewhat out of place but definitely NOT being discriminated against!  The insights I’ve received thus far are extremely helpful.

Thanx again - MarioD

You have no reason at all to feel out of place here Mario
You are a good player and I really like your music. And beside that EVERY MUSICIAN is welcome here  Cool
I actually don't think that we have that many professional musicians here.
And the goal of the KM forum has allways been to help each other, wether by commenting songs or by collaborating with each other. We offer all the help you would need, even providing ftp space to exchange tracks when collaborating over the internet.
A lot of us here are fun of collaborating with others, so need a track with an instrument you don't play ? No problem, ask and somebody will do it for you  Cool
And who knows, one day somebody will ask you to ask a guitar track to his song  Wink (I for one don't play guitar)

Thanx Kara for the kind words.

Maybe my choices of words “feeling out of place” were the wrong ones to use.  You mentioned that you don’t have many professional musicians here but based on what I’ve heard here I would have to disagree.  The music mixes I’ve heard sound very professional to me.  So I guess I should have said I do feel intimidated by the level of musicianship at this forum.

But that is a good thing as all of your members are very helpful and willing to share there knowledge so I know I will learn a lot.

Thanx for making me feel welcomed - MarioD

Well it took a time for me to get around to listening to this - sorry about that.

Now what's this nonsense about not 'professional' eh?

This is one of the smoothest arrangements of this classic that I have heard. I especially like the lone guitar intro. Makes you think of a guy in an empty nightclub getting a bit of practice in before the main performance.

It is definitely going in my 'keep' folder.

Mario,

There's a sense of life and grace in some music that defies technology and technique. If I was to listen to your stuff with a critical ear (but what would be the point? Undecided), there'd likely be a thing or two that could use some upgrading. The enjoyment factor is high, though, and any "defects" just seem to slide by.

Now if you want a "nitpick", here's my favourite, and it doesn't happen very often: You go for a snappy riff, pull it off bigtime, improvise on it a bit, then blow your own mind, and finish with a massive flub. I gotta admit you're quick on the uptake and pull it out of the fire with some admirable composure, but....it's out there Cheesy.

Well, how was I?

Very nice Mario - a lovely version of one of my favourite tunes. Great guitar playing - as rharv says, it's a little stiff in places, but not enough to reduce my enjoyment. Thanks for sharing.

I hadn't looked in this section before, but I'll be checking out your other tunes.

In Mario's case, Fred, it would more likely be that can of Bud.... Wink. Who can blame the guy?

Well you flubbed it  Grin Grin Grin

Actually that is one of the things I’m working on, continuity in my leads.

You guys are really sharp when it comes to this stuff aren’t you - MarioD
