Title: MMA 1.7b Post by: bvdp on December 24, 2010, 06:02:07 PM Here's the Merry Christmas release: 17.b
Get it from: http://mellowood.ca/mma/downloads.html#developer Why? It's got the talked about PolyChord extension (very cool sounds) and has an enhanced groove notation so you can combine a filename with a groove name (not so cool, but useful!). And some bug fixes. Have fun. Title: Re: MMA 1.7b Post by: bvdp on December 25, 2010, 06:28:57 PM Sometimes one is way too close to the trees :) I just found an unexpected side effect from the extended groove notation: It works very nicely with the -V notation.
Suppose I'm working on a new library file. I have the file "newstuff.mma" and a groove in that called "simple". And, the file is in my current directory (and I've not moved it to the lib tree). I can now do: mma -V tempo=80 Keysig=Eb ./newstuff:simple and, the test file is created and played. Cool. Saves a lot of time. Oh, and it's fine to skip the "./" in the filename. You just get some extra verbiage from mma. Now, I need to update the docs :) Title: Re: MMA 1.7b Post by: Oren on December 25, 2010, 10:20:56 PM I can now do: mma -V tempo=80 Keysig=Eb ./newstuff:simple ...and, the test file is created and played. Hell no! It's all play. If it were work I'd get paid :)
