Man’s first journey into outer space and as you look out of your porthole you are in awe as you see wonders that no one else has seen. But you are well aware of your surroundings by the constant rumble of your engines, the sound of data being transmitted back to terra firma and your beating heart as you do not know what dangers you will encounter.

I hope you like this one.

Mario,

Although I do like ambient music,I got the impression from the intro, that there would be more to this than just some stand-alone chord progressions & as interesting as they are, this tune feels very empty to me.

I'm guessing that this minimalist approach was intentional...but your composition as it is,filled my head with a lot of ideas & if your game,I'd really like to do a collab on this one.

It's been a long while since I've done a collab and inspiration has been pretty scarce for me...so a collab would be just the ticket,if you're interested at all.

By the way, nice synopsis of this tune....makes me think of your "Encounters" tune.

It has been a long time since anyone has done a collab here!

So yes lets do it.  What do you need from me?  Individual tracks?  Composite tracks?  Flac, MP3, Ape or zipped wav?

Surreal, atmospheric - Mr D., you're not getting older; you're getting stranger. (which I admire)

Thom all the individual zipped tracks are here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/97281321/4%20thom.zip

If this DL is to long let me know and I will split this up into individual zips.

Let me know when you receive these so I can take them down.

Good Luck!

The tempo is 70 BPM.

Also I copied the intro to every track.  Delete the first two measures on every track except the brightness track.  I did this so you could line up each track.

Mario,

Your files are completely empty...no sound & no graphical indication of any waveforms....nothing but 410MB of dark matter. Huh Grin When you have the time,I'd appreciate it if you could take another crack at exporting your tracks.

Thanks

Strange is good! Normal is boring  Grin
Very much like this. I'll be interested to hear what Thom can add to it.

Thom, that is very weird!  I checked them prior to sending.  I’m off to my teaching job but when I get home I’ll redo them.  They might not be ready until later tomorrow though.

Thanx Oren and Will for listening and the comments.

I have been strange most all of my life but in my best John Astin voice “I’m much better now”!

Mario,

Just so you know,I imported your files into both my Reason & Presonus S1 DAW's & got the same result.I even tried playback via my Windows Media Player and nothing as well.
I imagine that you've upgraded to Sonar X3 by now...so perhaps there's something quirky going on in this version?

Sorry Thom for all of the problems I have caused.  Here are the individual track zips.  I tested each and every one of them and they worked here.

The problem was the program I was using, 7 Zip.  It does not zip large multiple files very well and in fact causes a ton of problems. I unzipped the file I gave you and there was nothing in it.  I unzipped it again and only one file worked.  This is very weird.  So this time I zipped each and every file individually.

Let me know when you get these in your system so I can delete them from dropbox.

PS – Sonar 3 is rock solid here.  It’s the best X thus far.
