Will, it is just the newness of the song. I wrote the chords as Steve was writing the lyrics then he immediately grabbed the mic and sang it, total time approximately 1 hour. He took home the rough chord track and he did sing it again the following week but it lost its drive, so we kept the original track.
Oren, Thank you very much for those extremely kind words. I’m not quite sure what you heard was the NY accent though. Most people associate that accent with New York city folk and we are far from that. You probably just heard the Budweiser coming through
