In Between The Rhythm And The Rhyme Copyright Stephen W. Young
There's a little girl making eyes at me She's wanting my attention Wanting me to see what she can do Yesterday when she waa two
On a Saturday at the football field A pretty girl is cheering And every now and then her team will win Yesterday when she was ten
In between the rhythm and the rhyme There's so much more to life if you just take the time I wouldn't trade for all the things that you can find In between the rhythm and the rhyme
A young man smiles nervously at me He's wanting my permission To take away my pretty little girl And turn around my whole world
In between the rhythm and the rhyme There's so much more to life if you just take the time I wouldn't trade for all the things that you can find In between the rhythm and the rhyme (Repeat Chorus)
A little girl is making eyes at me She's wanting my attention Wanting me to see what she can do I can't believe she's almost two

Have a great day!!!

I'm hearing Lonnie Melvin Tillis, here. Classic country, served up with style...

Oren, I apre... apre... apre..., Thanks! Never really thought about Mr. Tillis, but now that you mention it, it does kinda come out his style of country. I never really sit down to purposely write a particular genre. But I guess hailing from Texas, a little country just kind of oozes out of me! Thanks so much for your kind words! Steve

Hi Azell, Thanks so much for your very kind words! You are so sweet. I think I may have lost something in the translation on your question. If you are asking if I let my daughter get married, yes. She married a wonderful man, and she now has 3 beautiful children. Her youngest is a little girl, almost 2 years old. So the song is really based on truth. Thanks again! Steve
