Title: Circles: a new semi-electro piece Post by: Frederik on May 06, 2007, 07:12:39 PM This is a new thingy in which I try to combine electronica and acoustica - in this case the second is represented by a banjo (doing solo-melodical things on top)...
The titles refers to the fact that - to me - the basic synth riff has a feeling of going round and round in circles. hope you'll enjoy ;-) all comments and suggestions are appreciated! bye, frederik Title: Re: Circles: a new semi-electro piece Post by: Laguna Rising on May 06, 2007, 08:59:56 PM Hi Frederik
Good ethereal synth sounds and unusual melodies, good drums sounds and non-invasive playing, good work with cymbals. I like the role of banjo, excellent contamination, and nice result. I like this track, well done 8) Cheers Title: Re: Circles: a new semi-electro piece Post by: Wyatt on May 06, 2007, 09:05:28 PM Frederik,
This is a nicely balanced and well constructed piece. Pleasant and easy to listen to. I am terrible with plucked instruments. what ever it is, very nice blend.

The drums sound brilliant and the bass and counter-melodies that come in are really beautiful. Loved this. One of your best for me. Great work fred. ;D

I think the mix could use a bit of work, that mandoline is a bit burried in the mix. So, you not only play piano but allso mandoline. Great combination 8) Title: Re: Circles: a new semi-electro piece Post by: Oren on May 07, 2007, 05:35:49 PM Frederik,
Wild stuff! Your percussion track is huge. Creative bass lines, too! Lots of compositonal content, great production. Cool banjo. And no harmonica...all right! Oren. |
