In an effort to build up a little EP-cd for my family for the holidays before X-Mas day hits,I've been writing one Christmas song after another & this one took a while to finish...since I was trying to combine spy music with Christmas music. Grin

Alot of effects were implemented with this one,so mixing & mastering was especially tedious.

I hope you like my yuletide Bond,James Bond....

James Bond celebrates X-mass, great idea !

I have the impressing that there are a couple sounds in the intro that sounds a bit harsh, a bit of EQ would help there.

You're pushing at the boundaries, once again, and it sounds good!

Other that Kara's suggestion of smoothing out the tonal qualities of your introduction, this one is ready for the family Christmas album.

You're absolutely right Kara,as there are some very harsh moments in this song-and not just in the intro....whenever I use an electric guitar sound,I'm always forced to use the "talking modulator" effect to bring the program patches to life & to give them some realism and unfortunately,I have to combine effects-which means that this effect is shared with other tracks.

However though,I liked the "spy" sound I get when the X-Mas bell is run through the "talking modulator" effect, but I always have a terrible time trying to tame the sound to keep the harshness in check.

I will see what I can do with cleaning up this issue later, but if I had the Korg M50 right now,I could sync up the sequencers together & then I would have 10 insert effects to play with instead of 5 and then I would never run into this problem.

Whenever I have to share effects,I eq one thing to bring it where it needs to be,but at the same time,I am also boosting another track too much....very tricky stuff....I really need that second keyboard!

Thanks for the compliments & input. Cool

Oren,

thanks for the compliments & as for the eq thing..I'm on the scene...not sure how I am going to resolve this issue, only having 5 insert effects, but I'm on the scene....I'll figure something out. Cool

Hi el,

cool and funny idea. I enjoyed the listening.
I agree that there is some mastering stuff to correct but it's not that important I think...  Grin
I like the instruments used here, good choice.
Makes me think about an unfinished song I've made  sometimes ago, I wanted to have this "spy" movie flavor.
I'm gonna upload it now  Grin
Maybe I will rework it and finish it, who knows.
Anyway, thanks for the listen

Thanks for the nice review Mag-much appreciated! Cool

As it turns out,re-mastering this song is important...to me,that is. Grin
