I just made an attempt to upload a song and I received a message saying that my file size was too large.....it was only an MP3(3.16MB).
Not really what I was expecting with a new, more powerful server. Huh Grin

I'll make another attmept tomorrow,I guess...

This what is called 'child-diseases' of a new system. You're right, the default upload paramter in apache is limited to 2 MB. I need to set this one to 8 MB...

If only I could remember where the apacha conf file is located...

Damned... will look for it...

OK, found it. I've changed the setting, so I hope uploading will work now.

There are still some other parameters to tune, so if anyone is running into some kind of problem, please let me know and I'll try to solve it as quickly as I can.

Moon,

The post "preview" may not be functional yet. I like to preview my messages and attachments before posting them, and this feature begins working, but does not follow through.
It's nice to see we are operational on Apache Linux server software... wOO

Oren, I think I solved this one with correcting the layout ...

P.S.: The old server was also Linux  Wink, but know we're running Ubuntu (which explains why we still need to finetune here and there... )

Yes, my wife and I both use different versions of Ubuntu on our computers, and although they require a lot of adjustment to begin with, once the software is set up, it runs very reliably.

You have this forum working very well, considering the short time you've had to re-construct from your back-up copy. (and yes, the "preview" feature is working, now)

Schweet!

Moon,

Message from Folderol, who is still having problems ....

Hi,
Are you able to get into the site properly yet?

I still get broken pages, and partial access. This is with both Firefox
and Opera.

Hi Will,
Don't seem to be having any problems here.
Firefox, latest version.

Of course I haven't checked everything.
I browsed around a few pages, d'led Thoms latest tune, checked out the artist pages, played a couple from your page and mine .....
seems OK.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache?  (of course you have)

James

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I'm wondering if maybe my ISP is slow to update the new server DNS
settings if everyone else is able to get on OK. I won't be able to tell
for sure until Monday when I can try the connection at work.

For me the forums are just blank pages. The artists pages show, but I
can't log in at all Sad

Can you do me a favour and let Mr Moon know I have a problem? He might
have some suggestions. I don't know his e-mail address, and of course
can't send a private mail through the site!

I just copied messages from him to me and back again.

I do hope you can help him.

This is strange. Just to be sure: can some of you guys check if they can log in in their artist page?

Reason why I asked is that I reset my password and than I could log in. I thought that I forgot my pasword on the artist section, so just to be sure...

The forum should be OK. If you see a blank white page, it means you are on the old server (DNS entries not updated yet...)
