So you're not only programming vsti's & vst's, you're also making music ;D Excellent relaxing piece, you could be a contemporary troubadour, I realy enjoyed ! Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: one on March 22, 2007, 04:01:01 PM Hi Daniel

It's a pleasant idea, "Troubadour", Kara :D Daniel Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Marc JX8P on March 23, 2007, 05:54:06 PM I really like this! Everything is played very well and the guitars sound really well; how did you mike them? The track is very melodic although I have to say that I like the part before 1:30 best, after that it seems to lose track of where to go a bit (please don't get me wrong here, it still sounds great but I feel like it doesn't have the same level of brilliance as the first part). Anyway, top notch stuff, played and recorded brilliantly.

Beautiful melodic work, I like how the different instruments "talk" together. Thanks for the fly, I enjoyed so much!! I've always liked a lot these middle age inspired music. Near perfect ;) Merci Daniel :D bye mag Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Daniel Pompougnac on March 23, 2007, 11:26:35 PM Salut, toi,

I like this track a lot. It's alway very hard to record acoustic guitars, but you achieved an excellent sound here. In the past I tried myself many times but I remember having bad results, due to the fact I had bad mic and preamp back there. My recordings had poor dynamics and noise. The best things I did was on a Ovation guitar and a friend of mine was playing it. anyway... This is a melodic gem and I love it. Nice playing and good composition. Cheers Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Daniel Pompougnac on March 25, 2007, 09:12:48 AM Thank's for your kind feedback.
The mic who has recorded my very old and destroyed classical nylon guitar is an Audiotechnica AT4041. Audio card was a M-Audio 1010 LT. A little vst reverb, no eq, and it was OK. I've had the owner of an Ovation. All these guitars have a trouble, I think. Electro acoustic guitars. You can't change the mic :-\ Its difficult to create your own sound. Daniel Here, you can listen the part 1 of a song of mine, DEDE le DRAGON. http://www.pompougnac-daniel.com/06telech/mamusic/songs/dedeledragon.mp3 (http://www.pompougnac-daniel.com/06telech/mamusic/songs/dedeledragon.mp3) Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Fred S on March 27, 2007, 07:48:15 PM This is beautiful, Daniel, and very well played. Daniel Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Wyatt on April 22, 2007, 09:51:05 PM Daniel,
I thoroughly enjoyed this piece; it's beautiful. It develops nicely and has presence and style. The recording quality is quite good as well. I hope you will share more of your work with us. In other words: You nailed it, man! Wyatt Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Daniel Pompougnac on April 28, 2007, 08:07:10 AM Hello, Wyatt,
Thank's ;) What's "nailed" ? I've not found on my dictionary.. :( Daniel Title: Re: Creation : classical pieces with acoustic guitars and clarinets Post by: Northern_Fist on April 28, 2007, 02:20:51 PM He means that you've accomplished what you were aiming for -- you took the idea and "nailed" it like a hammer on the nail. I second that sentiment. Being a lover of certain modes of classical music, this is a very romantic piece with well thought motives and a grasp of musicianship that's got soul hard to beat. Thank you for sharing this... quality!

I've not found on my dictionary.. :( Daniel ..pardonnez moi..sorry I didn't get back for so long. "nailed it" means you did a particularly perfect job of it. Like when a carpenter pounds a nail in with one stroke instead of many..its because he does it well. sorry for the slang..
