Nice laid-back song.
You're clearly working much better in your vocal range with this one.
Piano and dist. guitar work well in the background (where the fit nicely).

Cool laid back blues The elements fit good together. I'm not that fan of the piano sound, it seems as it has no release at all I guess the goal was to come close to the sound of a honky-tonk, but it's perhaps a bit overdone ? Good collaboration guys, i enjoyed the song. k

Kara, Yeah, the right piano sound was a bit tough to get right...didn't really know what else to do to improve it,so I agree with you there. Thanks for the input & compliments, Thom

The guitar and voice featured in this way is a most effective ploy. Mario's retro guitar stylings and Thom's signature vocal tone...schweet! Like the best of Jim Morrison and The Doors - solid and unembellished. Speaking of unembellished, had you considered leaving the piano out? Perhaps just a hint of reverb on the drums and some inobtrusive flange/phase to thicken up the bass.... Solid effort, gentlemen.

Oren, I had never considered leaving the piano out, because as faultered as it is,I just can't imagine the song without it. Thanks for the kind compliments. Thom

Well, of course it comes to mind the music of The Doors, but not as a rip-off but for the similar sounds and structure although the main reason is probably the similar vocal style. The piano sounds a bit harsh at times, and I noticed that before reading the others' comments, but maybe that's just a matter of taste, anyway I'd try using a small amount of ambience reverb to make it smooth Good composition Cheers

It's strange so many people don't like the piano - I thought it was OK Oh well, I guess it'd be boring if we agreed all the time

L.R., I suppose that covering a Doors song using a midi sequencer is not the best way to go,but I don't know if adding reverb is going to make the song sound any more organic. I guess some songs just need to be done live..I dunno... Thanks for the input though and I'm glad you don't think it was a rip off. Thom
