This is sounding fantastic now, just finished mixing James contributions.  I'm holding off posting till he does his last electric guitar part, then I'll put it up.  But I will say this, I think you guys will like it a lot.

Blown me away how "live" it sounds now, with James' masterful fretwork/whistle incorporated, one of the best pieces I have ever been involved in I think.

Sorry for the delay, Paul.

I had a few issues with this guitar part so had to re-do some of it.  Roll Eyes

Delay? What Delay?  Grin

Well here's the final mix, and I must say I am extremely happy with it!!

For a song that I had considered finished, before James offered to add his magic, I can't believe how much more "alive" it sounds now, my original version sounds so sterile in comparison.  This is the biggest (29 Channels, 3 groups, +fx), most challenging and certainly the most rewarding track I've ever worked on.  Mixing was an absolute nightmare as it's probably my weakest spot, but I learned a hell of a lot in the process, Kara's EQ guide in the Tips & tricks thread was invaluable!

I'd like to offer a huge thankyou to you James, your contributions breathed so much life into this!!
