Something traditional

I recently been exploring some old traditional Scottish tunes.
This one comes from the 1700's and was later taken up, in the 1950's, as an Irish song which became quite popular as 'Wild Mountain Thyme'.
In this version I have two guitars, weissenborn slide, bouzouki, low whistle and high whistle spread over various sections.

Interesting tune, but I sort of lost interest after about 3 minutes, due to it's length(seems like a tune that should have vocals.)

You're right, in a way.
Originally started off as an old song but with quite obscure Scots dialect.
In later years the tune was taken up and a newer Irish song put to it.
My version here is really just a practice piece developing different instrumentation and multiple harmonies. Something that has always interested me.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.
