EDIT: I kicked out the drums. As Oren pointed out they only disturbed the flow of the piece. Sounds far better now IMO, so thanks once again Oren!

This one is slow and quite dark in mood. It's about love, betrayal... and revenge...

All comments and suggestions appreciated!

Good song!
Reminds me of Chris de Burgh, in a good way Grin

The vocals need to be brought forward in the mix. Excellent performance.
Also for my taste, some of the percussion was oddly placed, and took away from the flow of the song.

Very nicely written.

Oren,

You're right about the percussion (drums). I've added those quite late to the piece, and in fact they don't add anything essential - and as you pointed out they even disturb the natural flow (of the vocals and piano). I tried to kick them out, and guess what: It sounds far better!
I've uploaded a version without drums in the start of the thread (The vocals already became quite a bit more present without the drums, but I gave them a little additional lift too.)

So, thanks a million for your remark that made the piece far better!

Those vocals are very well performed/recorded. Although still quiet compared to the piano, the listener is drawn to attend more carefully to the words - nice effect!

Fred, this is one super song wOO

Loved the vox, lyrics and piano – super

The only small criticism I have is the ending.  You have different lyrics going at the same time at slightly different timing.  To me that was a little confusing.  But that just may be me.  I really did like this song.

 Cheesy
Very, very nice song.
I love the piano. It is a refreshing change to hear a piano driven song like this.
I also particularly like the harmony vocals. Very effective.

Grin yes, it's a very nice piano number, and I like the expressive vocals as well
It really works great

Cheers
