Help me. I’m way out of my comfort zone and hanging on a limb. I wanted to do something different so I put down my guitar and picked up my midi keyboard controller, loaded some softsynths, did some sound tweaking and came up with this. It was a nightmare I hesitated putting this up but I said what the hell I have nothing to loose and everything to gain. So here it is. Although this is not a top priority of mine I am interested in some constructive comments and/or criticisms, even it it’s “put down the keyboard and pick up the guitar” I don’t know if it’s two songs or not but I did have fun doing this. Thanx all

Interesting stuff there, mr guitar man! You could give a bit of opposition to some of these other guys, I think. But, man.......I listen on headphones and that second half really hurt!!!.....the way it pings back and forth from L to R.....ouch! James

James, thanx for the honest opinion.
I must admit that I did not listen to this with headphones. My bad! On the monitors it sounded ok. I’ll check with the headphones. I hate when this happens; I should have listened with the headphones prior to uploading.
Sorry

Mario, A very interesting direction you meandered into...it sounds like an ambient nightmare...very sinister stuff-I dig it! Are'nt synths fun? Thom

Hi Mario, Cool stuff and some great sounds! I have little to comment on, aside from the fact that I'd recommend getting the modulation of the noise in the first part maybe a bit more synced to the song tempo, and I'd suggest slowing it all down a little bit. There's loads of atmosphere in here and when you're building a complex soundscape like this it needs time to sink in. I like the rhythm (though I'm not listening on headphones) which is kind of surprising exactly because it is so staccato and just quarter notes. It is really fun - normally you'd try and play a bit with the rhythm but because the backing is so atmospheric, the rhythm is a really cool contrast. Cool stuff! Maybe I should pick up a guitar and play something for it! (On second thought - you're evidently waaaaaaaaaay better with keyboards than I am with stringed instruments so maybe not!)

Hi Mario Very dense atmosphere, well done I like this unusual structure and good use of great sounds. I agree with Marc comments : I'd suggest slowing it all down a little bit. There's loads of atmosphere in here and when you're building a complex soundscape like this it needs time to sink in. Which is an important thing I often forget ...and I love the contrast between the rhythmic element and the atmospheric one. well done Cheers

This has a very SciFi feel to it. It would fit very well as background for something like that old classic 'Forbidden Planet'

Thanx Marc for the very kind words and suggestions. Feel free to add anything you want to it, guitar or otherwise. I’m not very good at keyboards at all. I can read music so I know what keys are what notes but DON’T ask me to really play anything. I can’t! Also it really not fair to compare a novice guitarist to a novice keyboard player. With today’s technology it is much easier for the novice to produce good sounds on a keyboard that it is on a guitar. I know that for a fact
