Hello strangers  Cool
Yes, I'm still around. Ya don't get rid of me that easily  Lips Sealed

KVR free-for-all. Don't seem to do many songs these days that would fit into the 3 minute slot but here's a little ditty.
Lyrics from my pal, Joel Sattler.
Then simply guitars and bouzouki.
I have recent new acquisitions of both. Guitar is a Bedell Discovery and zouki is a Fylde Octavius.

There's A First Time (For Everything)
there 's a first time you see her face
there 's a first time you meet with Grace
there 's a first time you kiss her lips
there 's a first time to time That Fits
there 's a first time you want to sing
there 's a first time for everything

there 's a first time you have a fight
there 's a first time you walk all night
there 's a time When you can’t play it smart
there 's a first time she breaks your heart
there 's a first time love means suffering
there 's a first time for everything

there was a time I was a kid
did not care bout what I did
I spent all day just having fun
I did not cry for anyone
the world was mine I was a king
but there 's a first time for everything

there 's a first time That You're all alone
there 's a first time That 's the truth unknown
there 's a first time That your heart is broke
When you don’t realize your life's a joke
When Tomorrow don’t mean anything
there 's a first time for everything

Schweet!!!

Bedell Guitars... "founded by Tom Bedell of the Two Old Hippies company, which also owns Breedlove Guitars and Weber Mandolins". Tom has these made in China - I"ve heard they are very good!

Good to see you on here again James. I was beginning to wonder what had happened to you Huh

Song rolls along nicely, and I notice you're using more reverb on the vocal than before. Good idea. Are you also filtering the guitar, or using a different mic? It sounds more mellow.

If you have a poem, I have a tune, and we exchange these, we can both have a poem, a tune, and a song.

Thanks for listening, folks.
The usual apologies for absence .... sometimes 'real life' just gets so darn busy.
I do still check in almost daily and follow progress as much as I can. Thom, I read about all your problems and am so glad you have some sort of resolution. You deserve a break, mate.

Oren, Will,
here's the guitar story. Yes, better sound from new guitar. No other reason.
Oren, you heard right, brother. These are beautiful things.
Luckily for me there is a trader over here, who I have bought stuff from in the past, who must have acquired a bunch of demo stock from Bedells. When he puts them on Ebay he will put a few up at retail price and then a couple at low start auctions. These often go for quite high prices but I was lucky one day and snagged this baby at less than a third of full price.
It's their entry level model, the Discovery,
http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/NAMM_12_Bedell_Guitars_Discovery_Series_Models
which, I have to admit, I wasn't at all sure about when I first got it. But, not having much experience with NEW guitars, I hadn't really anticipated that there truly is a considerable break-in period. They really do 'play in' as the timber starts to season into the shape, developing tonal qualities as time goes on.
After a couple of months I'm getting to the point where I don't pick up any other guitar for straight acoustic work. It's a real beauty.
I hope to be able to give you more demonstrations of this soon.

I'm glad you're back my friend!

That's the first time that I've heard this song Roll Eyes   Your voice sounds great on this one James!

Ps - It ain't the guitar that makes it sound good, it's the musician playing it and you make it sing!
