I think the work I'm looking for is 'Massive'

This one gets an "A" for attitude. And lots of it!

Thanks for the listens/replies.
The voice sample is of Prince Sihanouk of Cambodia.
As for the mix, I'm thinking that the lead guitar is too 'hot.' The drums are fairly well drowned out at the beginning. The rhythm guitar can be brought forward.
This is part of an ongoing experiment in contrasting improvisatory guitar against a backdrop of overly mechanistic sequenced parts. The guitar soloing is supposed to sound like a live performance, with mistakes and all (the guitar approach being like that of an apparently drunken Jimmy Page on the BBC sessions).
The ongoing joke is, that if I ever lay down the 'perfect' guitar solo, then maybe it will be the last. The imperfection of it keeps me going. I'm not one to take 25 takes, then splice the best bits all together (Larry Carlton on a Steely Dan record). The 'ridiculous to the sublime' approach of a single line - for better or worse - is more appealing as an aesthetic. That said, I could definitely stand more rehearsal.
There's a noticeable 'pop' there in the vocals during the lull. Maybe that should be ironed out. The singing is inspired by the things Robert Plant used to do.
Anyway, thanks again for listening/comments.
PS: I've attached a song called, 'Totse' (Temple of the Screaming Electron) to show where parts of this were derived from. This was recorded in 2004 on an 8-track BOSS machine.

This gets an A for Aggressive, and I like that
Go for the first take and get the emotion and not the perfect take, unless of course you can get a perfect first take full of emotion! I can not
PS – you can NEVER have to much guitar

I went and gave this one another shot... new, dual-lead guitars, remix. It could be that it was already well enough, left alone.
