...The bass line is domineering, particularly around the 600Hz range...
...the keys sit too far off in the distance...
...the audio fidelity is poor...
...I don't find any appeal whatsoever in the heavy metal guitar work in this song,as I feel that one genre is intruding into another...
...there is a lot of meandering going with this arrangement...
Two guys are going to make a cake. One guy is providing most of the ingredients and mixing the batter.
His friend is providing some choice ingredients, and is invited over to taste the batter. His comment: "Gee, I'm quite disappointed in this cake, man".
My point - it's still just a goopy mess - let's reserve any emotional response until it's out of the oven...
Don't sweat it , friend - it's still early days!

Some compression and EQ at 600Hz on the bass line are in order - easily done.
Bring up the keys a bit - good plan.
I tend to like a lo-fi sound, but still, once EQ and compression are applied to each track, things will tighten up considerably.
Rony was always after me to play louder and longer, so I went for it here - probably a bad idea...
Fortunately, I can re-do the guitar parts in just about any conceivable style (he's boasting, now
), so I'll go for a clean sound - maybe some Dooby Brothers harmony action.
Meandering is a personal style - it sorta suits my creative method - I hate to over-control a project. I'm thinking that once we have executed all the production suggestions, this puppy will establish its own direction... here's hoping...
Thanks for the advice, New Jersey - we
will prevail...
