A whole new experiment going on here, folks. Once again, spurred on by the encouragement of Kara. Apart from the two guitars this complete thing is from keyboard stuff. Piano from MDA Piano, Bass from AAS StringStudio, Violas and Cellos from Miroslav Philharmonic, Drums from KorePlayer. The guitars go through GreenMachine and FreeAmp3. Change of direction ? James

à mon avis personnel, tout est bien. Les violons, très softs, les guitares superbes, et le reste aussi. Je suppose que les paroles sont du même cru ? Un beau rêve ? In my personal opinion, all is well. The violins, very softs, superb guitars, and the rest too. I guess the lyrics are of the same vintage? a beautiful dream? Azell

Thanks for listening, Azell. I almost forgot that you need the lyrics. Here they are for you. I’ve been living in a waking dream, Two years have past me by like fishes in a stream Spent so much time just trying to swim against the tide Fight against the current trying to drag me down When that river’s far too wide.
I’m tired of living in that waking dream I think it’s over but there’s still a silent scream The things I’ve missed I never feel that I’ll recall I think I’m waking now, I think I’m coming out of it But I still keep on thinking that I’m … heading for a fall.and here is the MP3 version. James

finalement, ce n'est pas un si beau rêve. Plutôt tristes les paroles. J'espère que ce n'est pas autobiographique. mais ça reste quand même excellent. Finally, it is not a beautiful dream. : (Rather melancholy lyrics. I hope this is not autobiographical. but it's still excellent. Azell

A fascinating piece of brilliance by your hands,Mr.Fraser....a wonderful departure from the norm with that siginature OffTheWall style! The lyrics are eloquently poetic as well...very impressive stuff! However though....this song has more mixing issues than a magazine subscription and it is so contradictory to such a beautifully written tune. Rather than me writing out an essay on the various adjustments that need to be made,I would like you to send me your tracks for remixing...if you're interested. If so,I would like you to send me each individual track as is,but leave your vocal track completely dry...EQ and all. -Thom

In an attempt to render a cleaner, more articulate mix...I remastered Mr.Fraser's tune from the ground up.James mentioned that he wanted to keep the vocals "dreamy",so I made a sincere effort to add the dreaminess, while also refraining from including an overabundance of reverb.....so I added a mixture of moderate reverb & a bit of analog delay.
It's not really James's cup of tea,but he wanted me to post it regardless,as he wanted feedback on it from you guys.

James' original is atmospheric and emotionally charged. Thom's re-mix is indeed more articulate . Instruments, vocal, and over-all structure are defined, and the listener's experience is improved as a result. An experiment that results in a production that works even better for me: Line up James' version with Thom's version in your workstation and play them together - tone heaven!

Thanks for the kind comments. And, Thom .... thank you for the superb treatment on the re-mix. The musical quality is SO much better. And ... the more I listen the more I appreciate what you have done with the vocal, my friend. James
