Title: A bit of a surprise
Post by: folderol on August 10, 2011, 11:10:25 PM
While browsing around various music sites last Saturday (it was raining so I didn't go out), it dawned on my that I've never put out 'Empires Of Dust' (my collaboration with Oren) anywhere but here - and that since 2008! So, I put this on KVR, with a link back to the earlier demo file from which 'Empires' grew <- quite poetic that :)

I was delighted with the response, but what was even more surprising was the re-awakened  interest in the original demo (well version 3 actually). What I then did was to also put up version 4 of the demo which I don't think I even put up on here. Once 'Empires' was truly under way I sort of forgot about it.

Imagine how a felt when liqih from 'over there' turned it into this little gem  :D

For the sake of completeness this is Demo 3 (http://www.musically.me.uk/music/Demo3.mp3) and here is  Demo 4 (http://www.musically.me.uk/music/Demo4.mp3)

Yet another spectacular rendition of your original theme... :-

That composition inspires quite the creative spirit - hats off to Mr. Godfrey...(http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/musik/music-smiley-022.gif)

nice moment of relaxation. Closing my eyes, I'm in the middle of the forest, surrounded by birds of all colors, near a stream of pure water and fresh, rabbits, fawns ... excellent 8)

Thank you very much everyone. I guess those chords have legs... Birds legs :)
