Title: Something new and quite different.
Post by: folderol on November 19, 2020, 07:03:08 PM
This little improv  simply wouldn't have been possible a few months ago. It's a single pass, with just one synth patch, using both hands and one foot!
One of Yoshimi's little band of helpers (TM) wrote the code that enables me to MIDI-learn almost every possibly control in real time, and I used this to considerably change the timbre while playing. I hope you will enjoy:

Improv Zen

I've attached both ogg and mp3 files.

What a beautiful piece, Will.
You have some sumptuous sounds coming out of those fingertips, sir.

Being an ignoramus of the world of MIDI I have never understood what midi-learn means but whatever it is you have certainly grasped it.

Will, that was absolutely one beautiful piece of music. Gorgeous sounds along with some excellent keyboard skills!

Having MIDI control over your instruments opens up a whole new world.  Have fun my friend.

Thanks Mario. When doing the software work it's easy to forget what it's all for!
