Title: What do I do with this?
Post by: folderol on May 29, 2015, 05:02:51 PM
I played this at the Linux Audio Conference as a demonstration of how Yoshimi can create multi-layer 'instruments'.

The downside is that it keeps popping back into my head when I'm noodling around the keyboard. However, tiny though it is, it seems complete and not expandable :(

It's a gem. A nugget. A purpose-built demonstration combining artistic taste and technical excellence.

My opinion: Leave it as is. Quit prodding the poor thing.  :-*

Thanks Oren. I guess you're right.
But...
I'm not prodding it, it keeps prodding me ::)

Why ?
I'm not according with you, I think you can expand this piece, work on a progression, for example.
It's a very interesting instrumental piece.

Thanks for the encouragement Daniel

No doubt I'll pull it out from time to time and (eventually) something will just click - this has happened with a number of snippets over the years.

I agree with Daniel.  Personally I think this is a masterpiece waiting to be finished and that is probably why you don't want to rush it.  The following sections will have to be as good as this one and I am very interested in how in hell you are going to pull that off as this is so good!

Exactly! I'd like to know how I'm going to do that :o
