Title: Rewired
Post by: blipp on March 24, 2009, 10:26:45 AM
I use cakewalk project5 to make my tracks, but i also have a cut-down version of Reason that came free with my controller keyboard. It was aafter about four years that i got around to finding out how to use Reason as a rewire application in project5, but i'm glad i did as Reason has some nice sounds even though i only have a lite version of it.

Anyway, to the point: This was the first track i ever made using reason as a rewire slave to project5 and i imaginatively called it "Rewired"  The drums and bass are from reason, the rest from vst's in project5. Hope you dig it.  :)

Wel wel I reconize that glass piano from another song  ;D
Interesting development in this song. I like it
I like a lot those interesting beakbeats, a shame the bass doesn't follow the groove...

Blipp,

A very frantic beat with a tranquil quality to it....quite a paradox......very interesting work! 8)

Thanks for the comments kara and Thom.

Yeah the bass does follow a different groove, but i wanted it like that. I like it when different elements in a song follow different grooves or time signatures. I'm not sure that's a musically correct thing to do, but i find it interesting if i can pull it off.  ;D

I like the flow of this very much. All the parts fit together very well for me.

This songs sounds like you carved it out of a block of pure sound by hand.
It is like a sound-sculpture. Very nice crossover of electronics and ambient-like elements.

Cheers
