Title: Leaving Me Now Post by: elwoodblues1969 on February 28, 2012, 10:17:01 PM I didn't want to fall into the habit of producing a cluster of cover songs,but as any mountain climber will tell you when asked; "I did it,because it was there".
That being said,this song by Level 42 is a mountainous undertaking & it's something I wanted to do for many moons. I spent about 4 ten hour days to to learn,record & mix this monstrosity & I've satisfied my "karaoke" urge and in fact,I don't want to even think about doing cover songs for at least 6 months. Their overall style was not to my taste.
Also, as a bass player myself at the time that they were popular, I didn't like MK's style. Far too fussy and showy for me. ::) This song was one of their best, to my mind. You have made an absolutely mega-fabulous job of this Thom. :; It is one of the best covers that you have done, maestro.
