Title: A new service for musicians: YourBestSound
Post by: Oren on September 18, 2007, 04:16:48 PM
As you know, rharv and I have been mastering the music for the "In A Spin" CD project. The result of this close collaboration (and the encouragement of the Kara-Moon Collective), is our new website - www.YourBestSound.com

The name says it all. It is a site dedicated to musicians who are looking for help getting their music to sound its best. The main service offered will be mastering, but other services will be offered too, such as backing vocals, instrumental tracks, help with finishing a song, mixdown, and technical assistance.

The concept is new, and we feel it has a lot to offer, to musicians, by musicians.  So it is with great thanks to Kara & Moon, who are an integral part of the development and design of this new service, that we announce www.YourBestSound.com

As a token of our appreciation we will be working with members of Kara-Moon for reduced rates, and in fact have already started doing so with a few of the talented folks here. So please check out the site,  make any suggestions and comments that come to mind, and let us know if there is any way we can help you get YourBestSound.

Great site, guys.  It's really clean and functional, but I can't get the video to run (in WinMedPlayer10).

Best of luck with this worthwhile project!

James,

The slideshow kicks in all by itself as soon as the page opens. I've accessed the site, clicked on "Stuff", then clicked on "Slideshow"....popcorn time  ::)

Care to give it one more go?

Oren.

Kara,

Thanks for all your effort, and encouragement!

Our association with Kara-Moon is the key ingredient in making this service "by musicians, for musicians".

Good luck with the business guys. It's a good looking site and I'm sure I'll be using your services at some point in the future.

Thanks, F.M.  ;D

Since signing on here at K-M, Bob and I have been a little spoiled, with really well produced music to submitted by our members for the "In A Spin" project. It helps a lot when your source material is of such high quality.

Looking forward to working with you down the road,

Oren.

Great idea, good luck with this! I have been thinking of getting some of my stuff mastered by someone else, to get some objectivity back into the mix, so I may be contacting you too in the future.

Marc,

In your case, Bob and I will be fighting over who gets to do the initial work. We normally pass it back and forth to get maximum perspective, but the guy who gets first crack at a project usually has the most fun.

The final outcome of a mastering project is largely dependant on the quality of the source material, so you're gonna be a big winner, Mr. JX8P... :D
