One of my all time favourites remains Xalt k Title: Re: A couple of Ambient tracks Post by: folderol on March 22, 2009, 09:59:53 PM Very nice ambient tracks
'distilled' has to come from the Amazon rain forest. 'non material structure' makes me think of water dripping through the roof of a derelict, abandoned manor house. Heh, Xalt is a blast from the past. I can remember when i first posted it on the krv forum just over four years ago and you were one of the people who reviewed it. It's nice to hear you still like it. :) Title: Re: A couple of Ambient tracks Post by: blipp on March 22, 2009, 10:32:34 PM Very nice ambient tracks 'distilled' has to come from the Amazon rain forest. Great to hear it conjured up such images for you. :) Title: Re: A couple of Ambient tracks Post by: MarioD on March 27, 2009, 01:09:16 PM Distilled does remind one of a rain forest as folderol has stated. This is a very relaxing piece of music. Two thumbs up :- :-
Non-Material Structure belongs in a horror movie IMO. It reminded me of It was a cold and rainy night when from the Manor Mansion, unoccupied since 1918 when Mr Manor was murdered there, a crime that is still not solved, an organ could be heard ... That is where this song placed me. Another two thumbs up :; :; Title: Re: A couple of Ambient tracks Post by: Laguna Rising on March 28, 2009, 09:39:26 AM Nice stuff Blipp !
your style in making ambient is very original, and it sounds different from anything I heard before. This is totally positive. You took great care in arrangement, and though it's simple most of times, it is perfectly tuned to the structure. Good choice of sounds/design. I enjoyed them both Cheers Title: Re: A couple of Ambient tracks Post by: blipp on March 28, 2009, 08:56:00 PM Big thanks Mario and Laguna for your kind words. :)

(that's my story, and I'm stickin' to it ;D) "non material structure" took it for me - both the title, and the the song. (I'd like to do some work with this one, with your permission...) Smooth move, John. |
