This is my entry for kvr audio June contest.

We have been asked to "bang the drum all day long " without the accompaniment of any Piano,bowed and plucked instruments . Pure bang bang. >:D

I took this as an opportunity to introduce a rare Indian musical instrument called Jala Tarang.

Jala means water and Tarang means ripples. These are cups filled with water in varying measures. Sticks are used to extract the musical patterns accompanied by the Tabla (Indian Drums). I am giving here an example from you tube for those interested in knowing how a professional does it. Mine is pure savagery compared to the real musicians performance. But I am here for fun. And you just gave me a new sample project idea, sampling tuned wine glasses, of course I would fill them with wine, not with water....

"Shrikant, the trick of a professional Jala Tarang player is : they put alcohol instead of water in the bowl a drink of it to tune them.So no wonder they're really warmed up once the tuning is done and therefore they seem to play better ! 8) ...   :lol: "
