I feel that the guitar is the backbone of this song and it deserves to be more present in the mix. -Thom Title: Re: A track for the album Post by: folderol on July 03, 2011, 03:43:50 PM Well, when I put this up I never intended to do any more work on it. However, as always, I have a habit of reviewing work some time later. I've made small, but I think significant changes.
Firstly The pad chords fade in far more discretely, then I have lifted both of James' guitar parts. This a very difficult balance to get right. I was bouncing them up and down like yoyos until I was finally (more or less) happy. Finally, I wasn't satified with the ocarina part. It was too shrill and fought for place with the vibraphone, so I dropped it an octave and replaced it with a flute soundfont. So here is the new version I hope can be considered for the album.
