Title: Internet Friends Post by: MarioD on June 24, 2011, 11:55:46 PM Although not a collaboration this was a dedicated to Kara song I was working on prior to my music computer crash. I rewrote the song after I was up and running again.
Knowing that Kara was a keyboardist and a bassist I tried to do my best keyboardist and bassist imitation I could, knowing I could never out do the master. So here it is. I’m playing keyboards on the first lead sound, wind controller on the second lead sound, nylon string guitar and bass. I hope I’ve done it justice. This was a very hard one for me to do. I was really ticked when my HD trashed while I was backing it up and I lost this. This was the first thing I did as soon as my computer was up and running again, but I wanted to do my best and not rush it. Now I have to get back to catching up, computer wise and listening wise. Superb piece of multi-instrumental-ity, my friend. A job to be proud of. 8) And, it strikes me that this is very much 'in the style' of one of those Kara compositions. I could have imagined that chord sequence coming from him. ;) James Title: Re: Internet Friends Post by: MarioD on June 29, 2011, 05:07:18 PM Thanx Oren, Will and James for those very kind words!

I was trying to emulate the style of Kara’s compositions as a tribute to him. He was extremely helpful to me and I enjoyed tremendously our collaborations. Title: Re: Internet Friends Post by: Azell on June 29, 2011, 08:35:49 PM tout à fait ok avec James, c'est le style de Kara, avec un peu de guitare "à la Grecque" :D, un peu rétro, un beau "slow". Bravo et merci
completely ok with James. Kara's style, with a little guitar "in Greek" :D, a little retro, a beautiful "slow". Bravo and thank you Azell Title: Re: Internet Friends Post by: MarioD on June 29, 2011, 11:37:58 PM I am so glad you like and approved this Azell. Thank you!

Bravissimo Maestro :- Title: Re: Internet Friends Post by: Marc JX8P on August 30, 2011, 04:42:10 PM Very nice, Mario. The style indeed makes me think of Rony's songs... The guitar solo sounds great and I like the flow of the song. Wonderful!
