Thank you! Maybe some background is fun here... Gulf Stream's main melody line is actually one of the first pieces of music Percy and I did, must have been around 1990. It's very much Jarre inspired (more specifically: Equinoxe in its playing style) and it kind of stuck around. There are other melodies or short riffs that have done that and that we used on Ocean Coast (and Earth Summit, and on later albums you can bet that won't change! ;D ). We have filled loads of cassette tapes over the years and these are always cool because while we would now do stuff better (at least - we like to think so) and sound better, the original idea is always a nice spark of inspiration for a new project. And if not - sometimes a source of great hilarity. It won't scare you with our attempts at creating a musical, for example, which we test-sung ourselves. ;)
