Title: What to do?
Post by: folderol on April 24, 2013, 09:08:28 PM
A while ago I posted my 'Ride With Yoshimi'. Well, since then I find I keep coming back to the finale. I think it can stand by itself and is almost degraded by the rest of the composition. The thing is what to do with it. Do I find a new name for it as a complete entity? Do I extend it? Or what? ::)

Here it is separated out. What do people think?

My opinion: it's a full-fledged production in its own right.  O0

Thanks Oren, that more-or-less is my preference.

As a separate piece I'm going to call it "Yoshimi Rides Home" so it maintains its connection with the original, but has its own identity. I've also been making a few very minor mix level tweaks. I'll repost once I think I've got the most out of it... very carefully!

This is a beautiful piece of music.  :-

Do not change a thing!

Oh dear ::)

Well actually I did do a bit more fiddling with it, mostly extremely subtle mix level changes, but also a few chords on the front for atmosphere setting. I hope you like the result.

Thanks Oren. It's always a bit precarious messing with something that's already pretty much there, isn't it?

OK so don’t listen to me and change it just to make it better ;)

Another one of Will’s winners!

It’s a keeper!

Thanks Mario. I took great care with it, and promise I'll leave it along now!
