Title: White Apples
Post by: offthewall on December 26, 2014, 08:30:55 AM
Hi gang,
Here is a song that I just put together the other day.
You all know that I often get drawn towards 'off the wall' lyrics ... well this is one of those.
I picked up these lyrics from my favourite writer and was so sucked in to them that I had the whole thing composed, recorded and finished within a couple of hours.
Just guitar, bass and bodhran to carry the vocals.

WHITE APPLES song lyrics
by Joel Sattler

I will bring you white apples
that grew in the rain
albino apples
that can't be explained

a mysterious fruit
from a tree without leaves
from a mythical country
that no one else believes

with flowers that blossomed
under tourmaline skies
where the sun set in eastward
and the day never lies

where the night is all stars
and the stars are all green
and the comets come flying
and the moon's never seen

when you take the white apples
don't you ever forget
that white apples are poison
be the death of me yet

and if you chose to plant them
give each one of them name
for I never will see you
ever see you again

I will bring you white apples
that grew in the rain
albino apples
that can't be explained

 ;)
James.
