Title: Letting Off Steam
Post by: MarioD on November 23, 2015, 09:57:29 PM
JonD and my latest jam.

JonD is playing the B3 via his keyboard into NI's B4II Kontakt software.  I am playing the bass, guitars and wind controller Alto Sax.  I modified a Band-in-a-Box drum track.

We hope you like it for what it is.

Quite a 'traditional' 60s style performance. Deffo had my foot tapping O0

Like the dirty bass and the wah-wah ax and you certainly can't go wrong with an N.I. organ.A nice way to blow off steam. 8)

It's a nice number ... and the organ, guitar and drums sound fine. But, the electronic alto sax just doesn't cut it for me. Sorry.

Funny part is that I've liked your electronic winds in the past. Guess it's just the patch you selected. Mind you, playing a real horn I'm pretty picky at times :)

You can very seldom fool a musician who's main instrument is one you are trying to emulate!
i know as I have heard some pretty lousy synth guitar parts.  I know where you are coming from!  The tenor sax I use is spot on but I have not figured out the controls on this alto yet.
